Your Role
As a (Senior) Mechanical Engineer at Orochem Technologies Inc., you will be part of our dynamic team, contributing to innovative projects that shape our industry. Your responsibilities will include:

Duties & Responsibilities
Design and Drafting: Utilize 3-D SolidWorks to design and draft equipment and parts with precision. Perform advanced Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) analysis for optimal performance.

Facility Design
Lead the design and monitoring of a facility for large-scale food production, ensuring efficiency and adherence to industry standards.

Controls Commissioning
Manage controls commissioning documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for process instruments to guarantee the reliability and functionality of our processes.

Testing and R&D
Conduct testing of equipment and components, contributing to our research and development efforts for continuous improvement.

Instruction Manuals
Prepare, write, and edit instruction manuals to ensure the proper use and maintenance of our products.

Project Management
Proactively inform management of changes in circumstances, provide alternative corrective actions to maintain progress, and recover original schedules if possible.

Coordination
Coordinate activities that affect internal departments, vendors, and customers to achieve project schedules, milestones, and goals.

Problem-Solving
Support production and quality engineering in solving design and process-related problems on existing products.

Additional Duties
Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess

  • An MS degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a GMP environment or the food industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD design software.
  • Skills in computer and SolidWorks for accurate and efficient design.
  • Ability to manage high-priority items to meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for hands-on work on the production floor.
  • Occasional availability for after-hours work.
