Orochem synthesizes a full range of polymer-based, solid phase extraction (SPE) sorbents. Every sorbent batch must pass a series of quality control tests to ensure batch-to-batch reproducibility and performance. Orochem’s Panthera Deluxe and Agility Deluxe products provide high performance at an affordable price. Sorbents are available in cartridges, 96-well plates, and microelute plate format. Combined method development 96-well plates can be custom made upon request.

Panthera Deluxe Polymeric SPE Products

The Panthera Deluxe sorbent is based on poly-DVB and provides both hydrophobic and hydrophilic retention. It demonstrates high capacity and retention for a full range of neutral, basic, and acidic compounds and is particularly suitable for pain management drugs and other pharmaceuticals.

NEW AGILITY DELUXE POLYMERIC ION-EXCHANGE SPE PRODUCTS

Agility Deluxe poly-DVB-based ion-exchange SPE products are available in four different chemistries: SCX, SAX, WCX, and WAX. These sorbents are ideal for extraction of a wide range of acidic or basic compounds and are particularly suited for pharmaceutical, environmental applications, and peptide analyses.

Agility Deluxe SCX is a mixed mode sorbent that combines strong cation exchange with a reversed phase. It allows neutral and acid compound elution with methanol and basic compound elution with base in an organic solvent. This sorbent targets weakly basic compounds.

General Extraction Method

(based on 30 mg/cc cartridge)

Stationary phase: Reversed phase

(Panthera Deluxe )

  • Condition(optional): 1 ml of methanol followed by 1 ml of water
  • Loading step: 0.1-0.5 ml of plasma or other sample
  • Washing step: 1 ml of water followed by 1 ml of 5% methanol (depending on analyte)
  • Elution step: 1 ml of methanol (depending on analyte, other common solvents are acetonitrile, ethanol)
Stationary phases: Strong cation exchange and mixed mode

(Orpheus SCX, C18-SCX, C8-SCX, Agility Deluxe SCX polymer SPE)

  • Pretreatment of sample: dilute the sample with buffer or with acid (for example, add H3PO4 solution, final conc. is about 5%)
  • Condition steps: 1 ml of methanol followed by 1 ml of water or 1% formic acid in water
  • Loading step: 0.1 -1.0 ml of pretreated sample
  • Washing step: 1 ml of 0.1 N HCl . Dry the sorbents for 2-5 minutes
  • Neutral and acidic compounds elution step: 1 ml of methanol
  • Basic compound elution step: 1 ml of 5% NH4OH in methanol (depending on analyte, other common solvents are acetonitrile, ethanol)
Stationary phases: Strong anion exchange and mixed mode

(Orpheus SAX, C18-SAX, C8-SAX, Agility Deluxe SAX polymer SPE)

  • Pretreatment of sample: dilute the sample with buffer or with base (for example, add NH4OH solution, final conc. is about 5%)
  • Condition steps: 1 ml of methanol followed by 1 ml of water or 5% NH4OH in water
  • Loading step: 0.1 -1.0 ml of pretreated sample
  • Washing step: 1 ml of buffer (pH 7) in 5% methanol . Dry the sorbents for 2-5 minutes
  • Neutral and basic compounds elution step: 1 ml of methanol
  • Acidic compound elution step: 1 ml of 5% formic acid in methanol (depending on analyte, other common solvents are acetonitrile, ethanol)

  • Condition steps: 1 ml of methanol followed by 1 ml of water

  • Neutral and acidic compounds elution step: 1 ml of methanol
  • Basic compound elution step: 1 ml of 2% formic acid in methanol (depending on analyte, other common solvents are acetonitrile, ethanol)

  • Condition steps: 1 ml of methanol followed by 1 ml of water
