Solid Phase Extraction

“SPE is a method of sample preparation that concentrates and purifies analytes from solution by sorption onto a sorbent contained in either a disposable solid phase cartridge or a 96-well plate, followed by elution of the analyte with a solvent and reconstitution into a mobile phase that is appropriate for the instrumental method used for analysis” (E.M.Thurman and M.S.Mills, Solid-Phase Extraction – Principles and Practice, John Wiley, New York, 1998)

  • Alumina

    Alumina (1)

    Alumina

    Overview

Acidic- Lewis acid properties of alumina allow the sorbent to be more retentive towards electron-rich compounds. Basic- Lewis base properties of alumina allow the sorbent to be more retentive towards electron-deficient compounds. Neutral- Extremely polar sorbent prepared as an electrically neutral surface. Favors retention of aromatic compounds, aliphatic amines, and electronegative compounds.
  • Carbograph

    Carbograph (4)

    Carbograph

    Overview

Carbograph SPE Tubes are used for the acid, base and neutral extraction of pesticides and herbicides. It is also used to extract polar compounds from aqueous matrices, and removing colors.
  • Polymer Based

    Polymer Based (61)

Polymer based solid phase extraction products

    Overview

Orochem offers three brands of poly DVB SPE products. Among them, Celerity is reversed phase , and Agility products are ion-exchange modes.

    Celerity Polymeric SPE Products

Celerity DVB SPE products have been used globally for separation analytes from biological fluids. Excellent efficiency in removing salts and proteins from analytes. Three different types of Celerity products are offered based on analyte’s polarity and hydrophilicity:Celerity Deluxe,   Celerity Hydrophilic (HL) and   Celerity Hydrophobic (HB)

Agility Polymeric Ion Exchange SPE products

Agility DVB ion exchange SPE products are available in four different chemistries: SCX, SAX, WCX, and WAX. Ideal for extraction of a wide range of acidic or basic compounds. Most suited for pharmaceutical, environmental applications and peptide analyses.
  • Silica based

    Silica based (427)

    Silica based Reversed Phase Cartridges

    Overview

Orochem Silica based Orpheus sorbents are custom bonded in-house to standard or custom specifications. Most commonly they include irregular shaped about 50 micron particles with average 60 Å pore sizes for sample preparation.
